Our Mission
The Friends of Arlington Animal Services is a nonprofit volunteer formed
to support Arlington Animal Services
and improve the lives of stray, abandoned,
feral, surrendered, injured, or other companion animals in the city
of Arlington
and to advocate that the city of Arlington adopt for the city Animal Services
the mission of ending
the killing of adoptable or medically and/or behaviorally
treatable companion animals and feral cats in this city's shelters; that only
companion animals that are truly vicious as defined by legal statutes and
therefore a danger
to society, and animals that are sick or injured beyond a
reasonable hope of recovery, will be killed in our shelters.
